Autonomy

The ISAE follows a policyof active and integrated research whose final outcome andexternal influence are under control of the Institute, within the framework ofobjectives set forth by its tutelary authority.

This policy is thus drawn up within the ISAE, taking specific features intoaccount together with the Policyand the Scientific Objectives of the DGA; it isvalidated by the DGA that exerts tutelary powers over the Institute on behalfof the Ministry of Defence, after views from the ISAE Research Council and theBoard of Governors.

Within a structure to be built in relation to the national evaluationconducted by AERES, the orientations and resultsof research activity are evaluated under ISAE responsibility or jointresponsibility taking into account recognised standards of academic quality, features specific to the mission to train engineers and partnerships with theInstitute.
