Short Research Projects

The SUPAERO Graduate Program provides for 1st and 2nd year projects at the end of the first year whose subject matter is free and in the second year, conducted as part of a team.

First year projects

This involves an individual research project (or one conducted in pairs) on a scientific or cultural subject preferably selected on the students’ initiative. Stress is laid on the capacity to produce research work of quality on an original topic revealing the state of the art of the issue tackled, with clear definition of problems and implementation of a strict and coherent methodology.

Second year projects

This is an applied project par excellence. The second year project provides students with an opportunity to invest in medium term studies conducted within the various poles of competence within the school. Working within a precise methodological framework, there is emphasis both on the scientific and the technical levels.

Projects represent a real exchange between students and laboratories. The latter can develop experimental models and have them evolve within the framework of illustrating the subject matter taught or the pursuit of studies and research. Meanwhile, the students acquire real experience in implementing a project. Several teaching objectives are thus set for them:

• Working in groups of four students
• Assuming responsibility within the group and working autonomously
• Application of the methodological framework
